What are the five pillars of Islam
Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, Hajj
What is the meaning of these five pillars, Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, Hajj
Shahadah - confession of faith, Salah - daily prayer, Zakat - charity, Sawm - fasting, Hajj - pilgrimage to Mecca
What is the most important pillar of Islam, in other words what pillar holds up the rest?
Shahadah
What is the religious quote for each of the 5 pillars?
Shahadah - there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his prophet,
Salah - when you are about to pray wash your faces and your hands up to your elbow,
Sawm - any of you who is present that month should fast,
Zakat - god is aware of any good you do,
Hajj - pilgrimage to the house is a duty owed to the people who undertake it.
Why are each of these pillars important?
Shahadah - this pillar is believing and saying the words that are the statement of belief in Islam
Salah - to show that they are loyal and are servants to Allah
Zakat - to show that they have a good soul and will happily give up money for Allah
Sawm - to have a select about of time a year fully devoted to Allah and no one else
Hajj - to show they will do anything and go anywhere for Allah, and also to show respect.
