Q

Acids, Alkalis Neutralisation What are acids?

A

Acids are solutions. They only have their acidic properties when they dissolve in
water. Therefore, in all acids the solvent is always water. The solute is different io
each different acid.

There are two common words that are often used to describe acids; concentrated
and dilute.

These words describe how much of the acid there is dissolved in a given
amount (volume) of water.

Concentrated
Dilute
