What is evolution
The theory that life on Earth has developed from simple unicellular organisms to the complex variety of multicellular organisms seen today
What is natural selection
Darwin’s suggested mechanism for Evolution: that individuals in a population vary with only
the best adapted to their environment surviving to reproduce and pass on their advantageous characteristics to their offspring
What does extinct mean?
No individuals of the species are alive in the world today
What does Endangered mean?
The numbers of individuals in a species are dangerously low and close to extinction
What is biodiversity?
The enormous variety of living things on Earth

Protecting the natural environment to prevent any further extinctions and enable all species to flourish
