Steps to titrations

A
  1. solid weighted + dissolved in beaker using distilled water
  2. transfer to volumetric flask + use the washings to fill the volumetric flask
  3. invert the flask

Acid-base titration procedure

A
  1. add measured volume to conical flask with pippete
  2. add other solution to burette record reading
  3. add few drops of indicator
  4. run solution from burette to conical flask swirl it around

  1. weigh the sample using a balance
  2. transfer solid to beaker and reweigh sample
  3. record the difference in mass
  4. add distilled water stir with a glass rod till solid has dissolved
  5. transfer to volumetric flask with all the washings
  6. fill to graduation line and invert the flask
