What are experiments?
A type of primary research

What is a meta study?
-a type of secondary research
-uses raw data from other studies to answer a new aim
-allows a large data group to be studied

A quantity of what is being observed
What is qualitive data?
Description of what is being observed
What is resolution?
The smallest change in quantity being measured that can be observed
What is accuracy?
How close to a true value a measurement is
What is qualitative data based on?
It is often based observations it is brown to bias as it is what the scientist thinks is important
What is the independent variable?
The one you change
What is the dependant variable?
The one you measure
What is the control variable?
The ones that have to stay the same
What is the extraneous variable?
The one that you can’t control but may have an effect the experiment ie. Atmospheric conditions
