Grip strength
A
- Subject grips bw finger (2nd joint) and palm at base of thumb
- Hold in line with forearm at level of thigh away from body (nothing touching body)
- Place marker on wall to concentrate on and tell them to build up pressure
- Measure each hand twice alternating hands

Push up test
A
- Advise that they perform as many pushups as possible
- Lie facedown on mat with hands pointing forward under shoulders
- Men=toes as pivot point, women= knees (everything below in contact with ground)
- Upper body must be kept in straight line and return to starting point with chin touching ground (stomach/ thighs don’t touch)
- Keep concentration on floor
- Practice 1-2 times before starting
- Stop if any discomfort/ cant keep form for 2 Consecutive pushups
- Exhale during upward phase

sit and reach
A
- Client warms up stretching using modified hurdler stretch hold for 20sec twice alternating legs
- No shoes clients have feet flat against flexometer, balls of feet across upper crossboards
- Measure to insure inner edge of feet are 6 inchs apart
- With legs fully extended , arms evenly stretched with palms down and hands over eachother reach forward
- Positition of max flex should be held for 2 sec
- Instruct client to concentrate on pushing the sliding marker and to lower head and breathe out
- Cant hold knees down/ jerk around
- Completed 2 times

Vertical Jump
A
- Have client stand tall with feet flat perpendicular to wall
- Have client reach as high as possible with feet flat and record height
- Ask client to move safe distance from wall
- Have client bring arms down and back in semi squat position for 1-2 seconds and jump trying to touch highest point
- Have client concentrate on tape
- 3 trials with 10-15 sec rest

Back extension
A
- Have client lying on stomach with iliac crest positioned over edge with rest of body aligned
- Secure lower body by holding down lower thighs/upper calfs
- Prior to test client holds body up with arms on floor
- Have client cross arms on chest and hold body completely straight for max of 3 mins
- Instruct client to concentrate on floor
- Terminate if any pain etc
- Recovery lie on back with both knees bent

One leg stance
A
- Have client standing barefoot behind or beside sturdy chair with arms crossed in front of chest
- Have client stand on foot of choice lifting other foot so its near but not touching ankle of other foot, hold position for up to 45 seconds
- Time ends when- arms uncross, foot touches leg or floor, weight bearing foot is moved, max of 45 sec is reached
- Do other leg then same test with eyes closed
- If lose balance within 3 sec of eyes closed test allow second attempt
