A
- personal protective equipment
- must be able to wear to stay safe
- eye goggles, masks, gloves, gowns, closed tow shoes

A
Used for droplet / aerosol protection
- used when 2 meters away from patient with a cough of cold

Respirator N95
A
- must be fit tested
- use for airborne particles suspended in air
- ex. Chicken pox, measles, SARS, avian flu, H1N1, viral infections
- put on before you step into the room

A
- equipment that you cannot wear, but helps you stay safe
- ex. Autoclave, sharps container, fire extinguisher, plexiglass in triage
