- Important to know what medications so changes can be monitored under anaesthetic.
- Awareness should also highlight need to closer monitoring of body systems.

- Hypoxia: Airway management and 02 deprivation
- Hypotension: Due to agents use for and during anaesthesia
- Hypothermia: Due to length of time on table and exposure
- Hypovolemia: Due to blood loss in theatre
- Anaphlylactic reaction: Latex, agents used and medications
