Powerplant Limitations Flashcards
When cold-soaked (-30’C or below for more than 8 hrs):
- Motor engines for 60 seconds and verify fan rotation before engine start
- Actuate reverse thrusters until deploy and stow cycles less than 5 seconds
When must continuous ignition be used?
- T/o and ldgs on contaminated rwys
- T/o with high x-wind components (>27 kts) (Company)
- Flight through moderate or heavier intensity rain
- Flight through moderate or heavier intensity turbulence
- Flight in the vicinity of TS
Note:
Engine operation at or near the shaker and pusher settings is predicated on an operable auto-ignition system
