1. OAT is 10’C or below AND visible moisture is present, or
2. OAT is 10’C or below when operating on runways, ramps, or taxiways where surface snow, ice, standing water, or slush is present

FLIGHT OPS

When must the COWL ANTI-ICE system be ON?

Answer 2

1. In icing conditions, or
2. ICE is annunciated by the ice detection system

Icing Conditions:
TAT of 10’C or below AND visible moisture present, except when SAT is -40’C or below

What is visible moisture?

Answer 3

Clouds, fog with vis 1 SM or less, rain, mist, snow, sleet, and ice crystals
