Keystone Habit
A habit that, once learned will make other habits easier to adopt
exercise, meditation, sleep patterns, diet, food journaling
Three Steps of Habit
Cue: A trigger that tells the brain to go into automatic mode
Routine: Physical, emotional, mental
Reward: Helps the brain to figure if this particular loop is worth remembering for the future.
Golden Rule of Habits
Old cue, old reward, new routine
When you recognize your cues
Create a competing response to those cues
Reward yourself!
Essential to the habit forming process
is belief
Willpower
Choosing a certain habit ahead of time, sticking to it in crisis
Exercise
is a keystone habit, it is a small win that shows achievement is possible
