A

Power that can we can see being used, the person who makes the decision has power.
It is the pluralist view of power as power is being divided.

Criticism of open face

A

Fails to take into account the way the political agenda is controlled.
Power can be shown subtly so it can be hard to tell who has power.
This can be to simple a view of power.
Dahl criticised this view as more than one group can influence the decision being made.

A

This is power used behind closed doors. This is used to set the political agenda (eg Brexit negotiations), what will and won’t be discussed so they are dictating the situation.

Criticism of closed face

A

It is too heavily based off observable power.
Refers to potential conflicts if people knew what was being omitted from the political agenda people may react differently to protect their rights.
When seeing if power has been used only subjective interests are reviewed.
