Purpose of Poverty?

A

Dickens wanted to change how the poor was overlooked
ignoance if the wealthy would only cause more problems
during industrial revolution, gap between poor and rich became even wider, factory owners wealth increased at the expense of the poor
shows scrioges wealth as although being large, not truly satisfactory compared to the true happiness the Cratchits, although poor are experiencing
being miserly does not bring true satisfaction but being grateful for everything allows greater fulfilment.
