How is the Post-natal period defined?
The 6-8 weeks after birth

- Screening / identification of at risk clients

- Assists a midwife

- Supports families with baby care
- Able to identify deviations from normal and report to midwife / doctor

- Sudden profuse blood loss
- Faintness, dizziness
- Palpitations / tachycardia

- Fever
- Shivering
- Pain

- Sustained rhythmic suck
- Relaxed arms and hands
