Semimembranosus

A

O: ischial tuberosity
I: posterior part of medial condyle of tibia
N: tibial division of sciatic n. (L5,S1,2)
V: perforating branch of deep femoral a. (Sup may receive from inferior glut & inf from muscular branches of popliteal)
A: flexes leg & rotates medially when knee is flexed, extends thigh, extend trunk when thigh and knee are flexed

Biceps femoris

A

O: long head- ischial tuberosity. Short- linea aspera & lateral supracondylar line of femur
I: lat side of head of fibula (tendon split by fibulae collateral lig of knee)
N: long- tibial nerve division of sciatic n. (L5,S1,2). Short- common fibular div of sciatic n. (L5,S1,2)
V: perforating branch of deep femoral a. (Sup may receive from inferior glut & inf from muscular branches of popliteal)
A: flex leg & rotate it laterally when knee flexed, extends thigh

A

I: medial surface of superior part of tibia
N: tibial division of sciatic n (L5,S1,2)
V: perforating branch of deep femoral a. (Sup may receive from inferior glut & inf from muscular branches of popliteal)
A: flexes leg & rotates medially when knee is flexed, extends thigh, extend trunk when thigh and knee are flexed
