• Cone Rule: While inside of the shack, the cone will be placed in the middle of the lane that enters the installation.

• Defense in Depth: The siting of mutually supporting defense positions designed to absorb and progressively weaken attack, prevent initial observations of the whole position by the enemy, and to allow the Commander to maneuver the reserve.

• Assessment Zone: is the Blue Line and beyond.
• Warning Zone: is from the Blue Line to the ECP.
• Threat Zone: is from the ECP onto the Installation.
