Hybrid identities- Back, Gill and burdsey

A

Back- south London council estates and cultural borrowing as boys had mixed nationality friend groups and all adapted black styles of dress, slang and music. Burdsey- British Asian footballers and code switching occurs as they act more laddish with white players (gambling, drinking, pornograpy) but have more traditional Asian values at home . Gill- blasians and brasians to discuss a group of Asian boys in south London and how they adopted black styles of dress and listened to reggae as they have black friends
