0
Q

(A319/321) what is the preflight check

A
  • The pressure gauge must read between 1500-2000 PSI.
  • one mask must be attached to the HI flow side and one additional mask present

11
Q

What should the POB never fall below

A

500 PSI. this ensures enough pressure remains in the event of a depressurization

12
Q

What steps are taken when the POB is no longer needed or when pressure falls below 500 PSI

A
  • turn the valve clockwise to the off position
  • return the POB to its bracket and leave the used mask attached to the unit
  • administer additional o2 from another POB If needed

15
Q

(A320) How do you operate POB

A
  • check o2 gauge for quantity
  • gently rotate the cable and turn it counter-clockwise until the desired flow rate displays in the window (marked 2 or 4)
  • the A320 POB only has one mask outlet
  • the desired flow rage is controlled by the vakve
16
Q

(A320) what are the flow rates and indications

A
  • a flow rate of 2 delivers 2 liters per min. LO 120 mins

- a flow rate of 4 delivers 4 liters per min. HI 66 mins

17
Q

(A320) how do you turn off the POB

A
  • gently rotate the valve clockwise to the off position

- a red indicator will display in the flow indication window
