How does polymorphous light eruption present?
How soon after UV exposure, and which type of UVR is associated mostly?
A
- erythematous, itchy papules, vesilces, or plaques on sun exposed areas
- 1-4 days after UVA exposure
- tends to recur with sun exposure, but hardening effect is seen as summer progresses
- always present in the same way in a single patient

What is the classic history for PMLE?
A
flares in spring/early summer, then tends to occur less frequently as the summer progresses due to hardening effect

Histology of PMLE?
A
- marked papillary dermal edema
- dense PV lymphohistiocytic inflam
