Vehicle Fires
A
Places engine safely, considering flow of flammable liquids, away from bumper
explosion when vehicle is on fire whenever possible.
* Keeps engine approximately 75 to 100 feet from vehicle on fire.

PPE when responding
A
Needs not wear full protective clothing while driving due to bulkiness.

Landing Zones (LZ)
A
Shall have the Engine positioned in a manner that allows for mobility if Crash Fire &
Rescue (CFR) is needed at a location other than the LZ.
*Assists in securing landing zone.
* Stands by at engine in event of an emergency during final approach, landing, and
departure.
* If requested, turns off all emergency and head lights.
