consider inducing vomiting

When should you induce vomiting?
When shouldn’t you?
do if done within the first 30 minutes of toxin exposure
Do not if the patient has a seizure disorder, altered mental status, or toxin is corrosive or a petroleum product
What can you give a poisoned patient from the medical kit?
charcoal
What common things in the outdoors produce carbon monoxide?
anything that has combustible material
automobiles, portable stoves, lanterns, and heaters
What are the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning?
lightheadedness; headache; weakness; nausea; vomiting; confusion; lethargy; coma; seizures
