Vaishnavism and Shaivism
A
Shaivism and Vaishnavism are two Hindu sects that focus on different deities. Shaivism worships Shiva and emphasizes destruction, transformation, and meditation, while Vaishnavism worships Vishnu (or his avatars) and focuses on devotion (bhakti) and cosmic preservation. Both share core Hindu beliefs but differ in their deity and practices.
