Stanza

What are the three differences between poetry and prose?
Line length, use of sound devices (a poet makes “verbal music”) and compression of statement.

A direct comparison of unlike things
Symbol
A concrete object that has two meanings, a literal meaning and a secondary meaning

The giving of human qualities to something that is not human.

What are the four sound devices?
Alliteration, assonance, onomatopoeia, and rhyme
