Confusion, Urea, Resp rate, Blood pressure and >65y/o
(1 point for each of CURB 65)
what are the levels of urea, resp rate and blood pressure that score a point in the CURB 65
urea = >7mmol
resp rate = >30breaths/min
blood pressure = <90 systolic, <60 diastolic
what is the most common causitive organism for pneumonia
strep. pneumoniae
what is a common causitive organism of pneumonia in COPD patients
haemophilus influenza
what is a common causitive organism for people who inject drugs(PWID), young or elderly people
staph. aureus (often following influenza)
describe the gram stain of strep. pneumoniae
gram positive cocci(chains)
describe the gram stain of haemophilus influenza
gram negative coccobacili
