- Signs and symptoms consistent with LRTI
- Associated with new radiographic shadowing for which there is no other explanation
Symptoms required for a diagnosis of pneumonia
Cough + at least one of the following
- Pleural pain
- Dyspnoea
- Tachypnoea
Systemic symptoms are a fever of 38 degrees +
