Treatment of community acquired pneumonia

A

Macrolides
- Clarithromycin 500mg BID for 7 days
- Azithromycin 500mg initial and then
250mg QD for 4 days OR
500mg QD for 3 days
Tetracycline
- Doxycycline 100mg BID for 7 days
Fluoroquinolones
- Levofloxacin 500mg QD for 7 days
- Moxifloxacin 400mg QD for 7 days
ALTERNATE TREATMENTS
Erythromycin 250-500mg QID
Amoxicillin 875/125mg BID or 500/125mg TID x 7days
