What do we mean by Pluralism?

A

Pluralism is a perspective that believes the opposite of everything we’ve looked at so for. Instead of ownership conc, pluralists believe there is a wide variety of media available from a wide variety of sources and owners.

A
  • No one has a monopoly on power
  • Pluralists argue that power in democratic societies is spread out, not concentrated
  • Pluralists argue that consumers have more power than the owners of the media. The job of the owner is to meet the customers interest.
