Muchas veces, los alumnos confunden plenty con enough.
Plenty quiere decir ‘más que suficiente’ or ‘de sobra’ y no ‘suficiente’. Sólo se usa con sustantivos y no con adjetivos o adverbios.
We have plenty of people to move the sofa - Tenemos gente de sobra para mover el sofá.

Los alumnos a veces dicen plenty cuando realmente quieren decir a lot.
There were a lot of people at the beach. – Había mucha gente en la playa.
Si dices plenty of people, uno piensa plenty of people for what? – ¿Había gente suficiente para qué?
