Para decir ‘tardar’ en inglés, usamos it + alguna forma del verbo to take. Si hablamos del tiempo que necesita una persona, decimos:
It takes me, you, her, him, them, us…
It takes me an hour to get to the office in the morning.

Para preguntar, decimos ‘how long does it take you…?’ y no how many hours…? o how much time…?
Para hablar de algo que es lo mismo para todas las personas, como un vuelo, decimos simplemente it + take, sin mencionar a una persona.
