Phototropic is growing towards the light
Geotropic is growing to gravity
Hydrotropic grows towards water
What does an auxin do?
An auxin in in the top of a plant stem, which moves away from the sun, this makes the darker side bigger, so the plant bends towards the sun
What is an adaptation?
Animals and plants change to deal with the surrounding they live in
What does competition mean?
The way animals compete with each other for food water space and mates
What is a carnivore and a herbivore?
A carnivore is an animal who only eats meat
A herbivore is an animal who only eats plants
What does territory mean?
An area where an animal lives and feeds
How do you measure environmental change?
Some animals are pollution indicators
Larvae/nymphs indicate oxygen levels
Lichens indicate Sulphur dioxide
What is meant by a trophic level?
A feeding level in a food chain

Photosynthesis, respiration decomposition combustion
