Name the parts of a plant and their function.
A
Root - it holds the plant in the soil and takes up water and minerals.
Stem - holds up leaves and flowers. Contains vascular tissue to transport minerals, water, sugar.
Leaf - carries out photosynthesis.
Bud - an immature shoot, compressed and enclosed by protective scale leaves.
Flower - where the seeds are made.
