modified leaves that protect the developing flower bud (often a green color for camouflage)
What are the functions of Petals?
They attract pollinators with looks and smells
What’s the function of the Stamen?
It’s the male reproductive structure in the flower
What is the anther? What does the filament do to help it?
The anther is a sac-like structure that produces pollen. The filament is a long stalk that helps pollen to be accessible to pollinators or the wind
What is the Pistil?
The female reproductive system
What is the purpose of the stigma?
A sticky pad that collects pollen grains
What does the Style do?
It supports the stigma and connects it to the ovaries
What’s the ovary?
Round base of the pistil where eggs are produced
