A

PD – National Grant of planning permission which allows certain buildings works and change of use without a full planning application
PA – Permission from the local authority to be able to carry out certain building works. Such as alteration or a new building

Criteria when changing use to Class Q

A
  • Can have up to 10 dwelling houses
  • Max size per dwelling 150 sq m
  • Can extend rear to 4 meters if there is hard standing present
  • Can’t be a listed building, near scheduled monument, in an AONB or National Park
  • Requires a prior notification the LPA prior to works

A
  • The was temporary approval under permitted development received under class q part 19 for the demolition of an existing briefing room to a new briefing room
  • With the temporary approval we were instructed to go forward with the full planning application taking into account the conditions under the PD
