Placement Of Adjectives Flashcards
Occasionally an adjective will proceed the noun, then it has a comparative meaning. It has only one form and doesn’t agree with the noun.
Good/great; bad type, spectacular/ grand
Among men, he is a good man / bad man
This is a spectacular street.
Buen, Mal, Gran.
El es un buen hombre / mal hombre
Esta es un gran calle.
Normally placed after nouns, and it must agree in number and gender with the noun.
He is a good man
She is a bad woman
This is a large street.
El es un hombre bueno.
Ella es una mujer mala.
Esta es una calle grande.
Saint
Except for Santo Domingo, always “San” before the name.
Father Telmo is a Saint. Saint Telmo.

Pedro Telmo es un santo.
