- It’s a national law that governs how businesses must deal with suppliers, competitors and customers

- It started in 1987
It was introduced because it seeks to protect the rights of consumers - It protects consumers by exchanging money for the product/service consumers are entitled to a product/service that is safe and without fault that looks acceptable and performs as expected.
