after stable --> continue IVs for 24hrs

Followup with GP

A

1) Lifestyle modification - risk taking behaviour - namely important to practice safe sex. GP will discuss contraception options available to you (hormonal or non-hormonal) and always should use barrier protection (prevent STI - esp with new sex partners).
2) Complications of PID - More PID, Ectopics, Infertility, Chronic pelvic pain
3) R/V blood results - Hep b, c hiv syphillis
4) contact tracing - sexual partners.

STI infection - cervicitis

    Antibios:
    azithromycin 1g PO chlamydia
    cephrtriaxone 500mg IM gono
    doxy 100mg PO BD 14/7 (if preg don’t give doxy
  • do HVS
  • trichomonas - metronidazole 400mg bd 7/7
  • bacterial vagino - “
  • candidiasis - clotrimazole 1,3,or7 days.
    fluconazole - PO one dose (NOT PREG)
