common cold, nose dryness, irritation, watery rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, sneezing. sore throat, malaise, headache, cough, NO FEVER, colored nasal secretions, irritability, acute otitis media, asthma exacerbations, sinusitis chronic bronchitis

pathogenesis of rhinoviruses

A

enter via upper respiratory tract, moves to throat, if swallowed can’t tolerate stomach acid condition, incubation 8-10hours, cause of symptoms is immune response (interferon-gamma, interleukin 8)
