What is CG? What will it negatively affect if you change it?
Center of gravity – changing the CG of a drone will negatively affect the maneuverability of the drone
Where can you find info on CG for aircraft?
Pilot’s Operating Handbook or UAS Flight Manual
What is Red Flag on a map?
Indicates VFR (Visual Flight Rules) checkpoint - planes might use them as beacons
What does 41/SFC mean?
4100 feet MSL – SFC = surface
What if there are two numbers stacked over each other but no line in-between? ex: 513 over 233?
top number indicates altitude above sea level – bottom is altitude above ground level
What are the blue lines on a map?
Common plane pathways
What is MOA?
Military Operations Area - doesn’t mean you can’t fly there - but must exercise extreme caution
What is MTR/IR/VFR?
Military training routes - could be designated by any of those – can be designated on a map as IR or VR
