Define Balance
To find a state of equilibrium using an equal distribution of weight through the foot. It can be done on point of demi point.
Define Flexibility
Range of movement around the muscle or joint.
Define Alignment
The static and dynamic relationship of the skeleton to the line of gravity and base of support.
Define Coordination + E.g
The coordination of multiple body parts moving at the same time. (e.g: Complex arm phrase with a moving tendu phrase of the feet moving at the same time.)
Define Control
The way in which the energy is distributed in the execution of a movement phrase.
Define Transference of Weight
Shifting the bodies weight from one side to another. Not always from foot to foot. Can also be from feet to hands.
Define Stamina
Endurance of the dancer / performers muscles along with the aerobic and anabolic fitness.
Define Strength
Muscle endurance and ability to hold shape whilst moving from position to position.
