Q

Haplodiploidy of Rotifers?

A

Amictic = Mitosis
Mictic = Meioses
parthenogenesis = means no sperm is involved

2 Chromosomes ➡️ by process of mitosis release egg 🥚 become Amictic female ➡️ This female make eggs ➡️ egg becomes female (This cycle is called diploid parthenogenesis)⬆️
When environment becomes Tough
Mix is stimulus:- egg that female makes becomes Mictic female ➡️ Mictic female make sperm and egg ➡️ and both of those are haploid ➡️ then haploid egg is fertilized by sperm ➡️ and it becomes male ➡️ male release sperm➡️ sperm fertilize the egg that come form Mictic female ➡️ and this egg is dormant or enchantment (mean it can stay in environment for long time, it does not multiply) ➡️ when environment comes back to normal then that egg becomes FEMALE. This is called Bisexual Reproduction ⬆️.
