Q

How is glucose used/stored? (5)

A
  1. Used in respiration (release of energy) which then allows glucose other to be used for other purposes.
  2. Help repair cell walls. Creates cellulose, helps repair cell walls.
  3. Glucose and other nitrate ions help create amino acids which makes proteins for the plants.
  4. Stored in seeds.
  5. Stored as starch.

Q

How does a Green House create perfect conditions for plants to grow?

A

Heat - GH traps the sunlights heat
Light - artificial lighting = 24/7 light
CO2 - paraffin heaters, which can be added to help keep perfect temp for GH in winter release CO2 as a by product.
