How do you investigate the effect of light intensity on the rate of photosynthesis?

1) set up , gas syringe, light source, ruler, water, flask , sodium hydrogen-carbonate
2) white light is place a distance from weed
3) weed is left to photosynthesise for a set time
4) oxygen will push the syringe back as time goes on, measure the reading as time goes on.
5) repeat at distance light distances,
6) variables should be controlled, eg temperature, CO2 concentration.
