Color Mode
The amount of color data that can be stored in a given file format
Color Model
determine how pigments combine to produce resulting colors
bitmap

Hue

Channels
the 3 colors used to produce color
additive colors
used for lighting video and computer monitors color is created by adding red, ge=reen, blue light
Cyme
based on colors being obsorbed as the ink hits the aper and being reflected back to your eyes - used cyan, yellow, magenta, black
RGB
used red, blue and green to mix colors
grayscale mode
uses up top 256bshaes of gray
foreground color
black by default used to fill color to a selection
Background color
white by default and is used to make gradient fills
