Pen tool
Use to draw lines
Marquee:
rectangular, dotted line that surrounds the area you drag over.
Corner points
where the endpoints of 2 straight segments are united by a point
Average command
simple and effective choice for aligning points
Join
unites 2 anchor points
Smooth points
anchor points created by clicking and dragging the pen tool
Direction points
handles at the end of the direction line to reshape the curve
To a name a view
click view menu, new view
ctrl/command
to change a selection tool and click artboared to stop the pen
Anchor points
that are selected appears as solid blue squares

a=lign points

Starting w/ new document and using only illustrator tools

Attributes
refers to that which has been applied to an object that effects its appearance
eyedropper tool
to apply all attributes of 1 object to another
