What is Phishing ?
A
Phishing is where an attacker sends an email or some other sort of message containing malware or even a website link that’ll collect your information to a member of a system with the hope that the member will open the message and receive the malware into their system or that they’ll click the link and their data will be collected.
Realistically, the website will be capable of finding your IP address and then from that IP address, will be able to discover your general location (usually narrowing it down to a city or so).
