A Host Threat refers to an attack in which the only goal is to extract information from a system.

- Password attacks
- Unauthorized access
- Profiling
- Malware attacks
- Footprinting
- Denial of Service attacks
- Arbitrary code execution
- Privilege escalation
- Backdoor attacks
- Physical security threats
Would likely be executed in combination w/ one another
Ex. You might execute arbitrary code for the purpose of privilege escalation so that you can install a backdoor.
