is the permanent removal of trees to make room for something besides forest. This can include clearing the land for agriculture, construction or manufacturina.
Deforestation
A report by science journal, Nature, determined that
currently, roughly 14 million tons of plastic make their way into the oceans every year, harming wildlife habitats and the animals that live in them. The research found that if no action is taken, the plastic crisis will grow to 29 million metric tons per year by 2040.
Plastic Pollution
is contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.
Air pollution
occurs when a speciesโ population exceeds the carrying capacity of its ecological niche. It can result from an increase in births, a decline in the mortality rate, an increase in immigration or a depletion of resources.
Overpopulation
is defined as a water deficiency or a lack of safe water supplies. As the population of the world grows and the environment becomes further affected by climate change, access to fresh drinking water dwindles.
Globally, 785 million people lack access to clean drinking water.
Water scarcity

Development
