PHE: palpitations, headaches, excessive sweating

How is the diagnosis made?
A
increased 24hr. urine catecholamines, MRI/CT of abdomen to see adrenal tumor

How is it managed?
A
complete adrenalectomy

What needs to be done preoperatively?
A
phenoxybenzamine or phentolamine FOLLOWED by BB to control HTN
