Draw fuel from the Collector Tank into the line that supplies the Fuel Management Unit.
What is the function of the Scavenge Ejector Pump?
Maintain the fuel level in the collector tank.
How are the Main and Scavenge Ejector Pumps powered?
Motive Flow from Fuel Management Unit
With the respective PUMP switch in AUTO, when does the DC Aux pump operate?
- Low Pressure in engine supply line with START/STOP knob in RUN
- Crossfeed
What occurs when the FUEL XFEED knob is moved to the LO1/LO2 position?
- Crossfeed (XFEED) valve opens
- Supply side DC Aux Pump turns on
Can fuel be transferred from one wing tank to the other?
NO, the Crossfeed function is designed only to feed both engines from one tank.
How may the DC Aux pump be operated manually?
Select the respective DC PUMP switch to the ON position
Can the DC Aux pump operate with the respective PUMP switch in OFF?
No
What pilot action closes the Fuel Shutoff valves?
Depressing the Fire SHUTOFF 1/2 button
Under what condition does the yellow FUEL 1(2) LO LEVEL (CAS) illuminate?
Less than 310 lb. fuel remaining in the collector tank.
What is indicated by the yellow FUEL IMBALANCE (CAS)?
Fuel imbalance is equal or greater than 220 lb. CAS remains illuminated until imbalance is below 88 lb.
What is indicated by the white FUEL EQUAL (CAS)?
Fuel imbalance is less than 44 lb. with XFEED valve open.
How many fuel quantity sensors are installed in each wing tank?
4 per side (Total 8)
What is the location of the fuel temperature sensor?
Right Collector Tank
What is the location and number of fuel vents for each main tank?
One each side, located in the lower surface of the wing below the surge tank, one meter inboard of the wing tip.
How is defueling and fuel sampling accomplished?
By gravity through dump valve under each wing.
