What are the facts of the case?
Boots cash chemists just instituted new method for customers to buy certain medicines by letting customers take drugs off shelves and pay at till. PSGB objected and argued that this was an unlawful practice

The society argued that the display of goods was an “ offer “ and when the shopper but the drugs in their basket it is “ acceptance “

Since no pharmacist viewed the transaction, Boots was in breach of the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1933

Court found that display of product with price attached is not sufficient to be considered and offer but rather an invitation to treat.
